Amazon organizing deals - My top 10 picks

You know I love a good organizing project, so of course I had to scout out the best organizing deals for you today.

Unless you're living under a rock, I'm sure you've heard it's Amazon Prime Day and today's the last day for deals so wanted to share my top picks with you.

I only share products that I personally own and recommend and these are some great organizers included in the sale today:

  1. Clear stackable drawers - The best way to organize under sinks! They come in several sizes, they stack neatly, they keep everything contained. Great for craft supplies, too.
  2. Art frames - If your kids’ artwork is piling up, get yourself a couple of these frames. My kids each get one to display their latest pictures. They flip open so it’s really easy to swap out art, and the old pictures can be stored in the back.
  3. Vacuum seal storage bags - If you have a lot of clothing to pack away in storage, grab yourself this pack of storage bags. The mini pump is included which condenses things down so much smaller! I crammed so much in one storage bin using these.🙌🏼
  4. Rubbermaid brilliance containers - I’ve been using these for a decade and they continue to be my very favorite! Perfect sizes for food prep and storing leftovers. Leakproof lids, can put in microwave, stack well, great quality. They now make a glass version as well - lots of sets on sale today.
  5. Beach tote bag - There’s a great sale on this amazing tote. It’s held up to so many pool and park days. I think every mom needs one of these durable totes!
  6. Car headrest hooks - Now’s the time to grab a pack of these hooks for your mom car! An inexpensive way to keep backpacks, work bags and purses off the floor. They clip over your headrests and can be used behind the seat or spin them around the hang your purse next to you in the passenger seat.
  7. Storage bins with tray - These bins are a great way to store toys and craft supplies. Toss bigger pieces in the bottom and use the tray on top to corral smaller parts. They’ve worked especially well for building toys in our house.
  8. Foil & plastic wrap organizer - I’ve had multiple guests absoutely delighted by this! It’s one of those things that doesn’t seem necessary until you use it and realize how easily you can unroll what you need and the sliders cut so nicely.
  9. Simple chore chart - These little checklists are a simple way to track chores or daily routines. Grab a couple while they are on sale - super inexpensive!
  10. Drawer organizers - Now’s a great time to grab a pack of these clear organizers, pick a drawer, and tackle a quick organizing project. I’ve used them in the kitchen, desks, nightstands, bathroom, junk drawer.

I also rounded up my favorites in other categories - shop the full prime day list here.

What's For Dinner This Week

Intentionally easy meals this week because we have some extra evening activities this week. Planning meals based on your schedule and capacity to cook makes all the difference!

  • Monday - fish sandwiches
  • Tuesday - tropical pork rice bowls (basically this recipe on rice)
  • Wednesday - brats & hot dogs
  • Thursday - charcuterie board
  • Friday - slow cooker cheeseburger soup
  • Saturday - eat out
  • Sunday - leftovers/on your own

*We pull fresh fruit & veggies out of the fridge to serve along with dinner most of the time. I also rely a lot on frozen steamer bags of vegetables.

If you're new here, I love it when you reply to these emails! It's always nice to know people are actually reading these. And yes, I really will reply back to you!

I have no interest in completely redecorating my house for every season, but I do love to embrace the seasons by making some little swaps to get our house ready for the season we're heading into. For me, a lot of this is how the house feels, not just how it looks. I think a lot about all five senses when it comes to seasonal decorating. Here are 5 things I’m doing this year to get our home ready for fall: 1. Give the front porch a little refresh It really doesn’t take much to make the front...

Last week was our first week of school and we were all wiped out by the weekend. Don't you think the school year should always start midweek? It was a lot to jump straight into a full five days of school! One thing I've learned is to not make any plans the first weekend after school starts, and I'm so glad I protected that time because we all needed a couple of quiet days at home. Are your kids back in school yet? -Emily What I'm organizing Well, when it came time to renovate our basement we...

There are so many things that seem to come along with “back to school” these days. New wardrobes. New backpacks. Elaborate first-day photos. Meal prep. Lunch packing. Special breakfasts. A perfectly organized homework station. A whole new morning routine. And if those things make your life easier or you truly enjoy doing them, go for it! But I also think sometimes we need a reminder that just because something is popular on the internet doesn't mean it's something we actually need to do....
